A new UNFCCC publication highlights the 20 year history that technologies, such as renewable energy, energy efficient technologies or technologies that help people cope with a changed climate, played a critical role in addressing climate change.
The ‘Technology and the UNFCCC’ publication highlights how this critical role has been taken forward under the UNFCCC.
This includes work on technology through the consultative process, technology transfer framework, technology needs assessments, and the Technology Mechanism. It also describes the key role of climate technology financing.
