Columbia University, through the pioneering work of its researchers, has a long history of innovation and leadership in global climate studies. Now, with a compelling case for ongoing human-induced changes, the world faces many challenges. The Columbia Climate Center was founded to leverage the University’s breadth of expertise across disciplines to achieve new insights into the processes of climate change, and how to mitigate and adapt to it. From the fundamental physical sciences to sustainable energy, agriculture, public health, ecology, economics and government policy, the center integrates the work of 17 institutions and departments across Columbia.
