EUROPEAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FORUM
3 - 6 July 2007, Culture and Congress Center Lucerne / Switzerland

The excursions have received much higher attention than the original lecture program. Apparently, most participants like hands-on-experience betther than verbal instructions. This pleasant surprise has led to a modification of the conference program.

The oral presentations have been condensed to a single day of high-level survey lectures on Tuesday  (July 3) followed by three all-day excursions Wednesday to Friday.to sustainable energy installations. As detailed in the attachment, the excursions are grouped as “Sustainable Energy”, “Sustainable Buildings” and “Sustainable Cities”. All tours start and end in Lucerne. On Friday (July 6) the bus will stop at Zurich Airport at 14:00h for those who wish to catch a plane that afternoon.

Please open the attached revised program for further details. Featured Bertrand Piccard and his “Building a Sustainable Future is like Flying around the World in a Hot-Air Balloon” will relate his pioneering experience to our task ahead.  The speech “Economic Benefits of Feed-in Tariff Programs” by Hermann Scheer will summarize the German experience with this powerful legislative tool for the implementation of sustainable energy solutions. Please find more high-level presentations in the attached revised conference program.

Please forward this revised program to others and convince your friends and colleagues to come. In particular, politicians and energy planners of communities and countries should attend. Thank you for your assistance.

In feel bad about this confusion. This is a start-up conference. We still have a lot to learn, but try hard to make the best out of it.

Greetings from Switzerland,

Ulf
