INVITATION TO DEVELOPING COUNTRY JOURNALISTS.

Special Program for Journalists during United Nations Climate Change
Conference (COP 12)

As part of UNFCCC mission to provide support to journalists from developing
countries, COM+ is pleased to invite such journalists to participate in a special
program of activities for journalists at the upcoming United Nations
Framework Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP12, and the second
meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol, to be held in Nairobi.

COM+ will host a series of activities on November 13th – 15th for
journalists at the COP, including training programs on the evolution of the
carbon market and adaptation to climate change on November 13th and 14th.

In addition, COM+ has organized one/one interviews on November 15th with
Katherine Sierra, Vice President for Sustainable Development at the World
Bank, Achim Steiner, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment
Programme (UNEP), and Monique Barbut, Chief Executive Officer of the Global
Environment Facility (GEF). There will also be a field trip to a World Bank
project site outside of Nairobi the afternoon of that day.

If you are interested in attending, COM+ will cover the costs of airfare,
hotel, and per diem for 5 days so that you will be able to cover the
Ministerial segment of the UN Climate Change Conference.
