Carbon Fix e. V  is a small and innovative German NGO which maintains informed to its members on carbon sink forestry projects. We are currently analyzing the legal aspects on carbon neutral products. Therefore we want to find out for our members if they could call their products CO2  neutral by planting trees which absorb the carbon within the life-cycle.  An example: a production of a car emits 1 ton of CO2. to balance this tone of CO2, one tree has to be planted. This tree will absorbed within 20 years also 1 tone of CO2. Is it now possible to call the production of the car CO2-neutral, despite the fact that the carbon will be absorbed only for 100% within the next 20 years? Would it be possible, if the planting company gives assurance for the survival of this tree?

As an Institution which is known for its leadership in issues related to different legal aspect of the carbon trade we would be please to get a feedback from you.

We look forward that you will be contributing  useful information for our objectives.
