Job Description: Project Manager - Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English language skills required

We are looking for well-motivated staff to join our CDM project implementation and origination teams at EcoSecurities’ UK office in Oxford, as part of our continuing expansion in the rapidly growing carbon market. The role will involve the identification, evaluation, screening, development and implementation of CDM and Joint Implementation carbon trading projects, and requires successfully managing projects and taking them through the detailed international accreditation process. The role will involve

  • Management of carbon trading projects
  • Significant interaction with our client base, as well as maintaining good client relationships and furthering business development
  • Travelling to project locations, mainly in developing countries.

Candidate profile:

Successful candidates will be good team workers, capable of working in a challenging international context. Candidates will have:

  • Good presentation skills
  • Technical and/or project management experience
  • Knowledge and interest in climate change issues and in the carbon market in particular
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications and the ability to use spreadsheets
  • Joint Chinese and English language skills are also required (mandatory)Salary: £22-£30k depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package Start date: By February 2006
