New York City, Sunday, February 12, 2006.

The G8 were meeting in Moscow, but the American Republican Reds were
meeting in Cambridge, Maryland. The G8 were reviewing the effects of
oil on the global economy, and the US Reds had their yearly review
of how they were doing politically, and what were their chances for
reelection coming this November. Very appropriately they watched the
“March of the Penguins.” This was a sign they know they have a
difficult way ahead. As we liked immensely that movie (see
www.SustainabilTank.info “reviews”), we can only be sad that
what was in the movie a march for the affirmation of life, is
misunderstood by these Reds as an effort in a struggle to maintain
power - so be it - but the elements took their revenge and the Reds
had to fold up before the arrival of the inclement weather. One point
for the effects these folks had on the weather lines. The Reds never
discussed what caused Katrina (you remember - our site was talking of
Katrita - see please the Sustainabilitank search engine). At the meeting
the administration’s response to Katrina remained also untouched - so
what did they talk about?

We were told that the retreat was guarded with the best of the
American military might - they were guarded from the journalists that
were relegated to a camp outside the compound where they got
information piped in - in effect the only hint at what was going on
came when those at the retreat left mikes open and information leaked
out - other leaks were delivered seemingly in person. The President
was caught on the open wires saying that he asks his comments to
“stay in the room” - but they did not - even though the coast guard
was parading on the sea in full sight.

The Vice President was seemingly not there to guard the place like he
did when meeting with the industry to have them write an energy
policy - he was very good at secrecy. Now he was seemingly busy
shooting at some people at a hunt for quails. Did we not say that one
should have a license to own a shotgun? If we did not say this yet,
so we say it now; and why shoot quails at all? You see, you may
actually hurt people - and you are the Vice President of the people!

The Vice President was not there because this pow-wow was for the
members of the House, not the Senate - and the VP belongs to the
Senate and to the industry and not to the House - but the President
belongs to the Party.

The Members of the House watched a “Star Wars” like film where the
heroes were fighting “Darth Nancy” - good start for the Karl Rove
rally that will chase the Democrats all the way to November. He may
actually succeed and we are saying it here first - he may yet suggest
to the President to ask Mr. Cheney who shall be the Red Presidential
candidate in 2008 - and you can bet on it that Cheney will say that
he looked over all quails and found that one called Dick Cheney is
the best shot of them all.

Now, for the Democrats, they did not participate at the Cambridge
Maryland Red retreat, they did not watch “Darth Nancy” and they do
not have yet policies for November - but nevertheless, they have
something standing up for them - they have the real Nancy Pelosi and
next to her this coming Tuesday will be standing George Lucas who
created the real “Star Wars.” Will they start now cooking up a real
series of policies? It is real time for something real to happen - we
feel that were President and Nancy Reagan still in charge, they would
also today have worked with the Democrats to help them come up with
some new star wars. Have a nice week!
