This is the best short summary we found. It comes from front page Metro
New York of today.
We liked it also because of the excellent expresive photo of Vice
President Cheney, who sat in that chair
because of his legal position of head of the US Senate.

Mr. Cheney is not usually in the background; he is rather in the
foreground when it comes to energy topics.
He was the one who chaired the secret meeting of business CEOs that
wrote the last US energy policy.
Would you trust a group of pharmaceutical industry CEO’s to prescribe
for you your medical prescriptions?
Why does anyone think that oil company CEOs can prescribe for the US
its energy policy?

“Addicted to Oil” pronounced by a person who knew in his personal life
what substance addiction means,
was rather a believable statement heard from the mouth of the
President, our problem is, as in in this great
picture, the presence of someone additional hovering over his shoulder,
whom gave us previously plenty of
reasons not to trust him.

As we said previously, the best demonstration that Mr. Bush does indeed
now mean business when it comes
to energy, could have been, his using the occasion to make a statement
that he replaces his VP with a new
person that could, besides being a plausible candidate in the 2008
elections, also be now a Super-Czar of
energy independence. The State of the Union speech did not provide us
with such news.
