Student seminar: Making London a Sustainable City

The Green Party Members of the London Assembly will be hosting an event

with some of the Capital’s leading environmentalist, at City Hall, on
Friday, January 27, 2006.

The topics will be about making London a more sustainable city.

Speakers will include:

Jim Footner, Greenpeace climate campaigner on the potential of
decentralizing energy in London.

Richard Bourn, Transport 2000 London campaigner on sustainable
transport in
London.

Louise Hazan, People and Planet, on greening London’s universities.

Steve Shaw, Local works on the campaign for the Sustainable Communities
Bill.

Making London a Sustainable City is FREE and will take place in the
main
Assembly Chamber of Norman Foster’s City Hall on Friday the 27th
January
2006 between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
