As a result of this year’s November elections, all eight members up for
re-election to the Pennsylvania school board that had been sued for
introducing the
teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in
biology
class (read — they suggested an alternative to the evolution theory)
were swept
out of office by a slate of challengers who campaigned against the
intelligent
design policy. This is welcome news and perhaps next time they may get
around
sweeping out also those denying the consequences of global warming.
After all, global warming calls for the Precautionary Principle and this is more
serious
matter then the existence of a super-monkey. Kansas was left behind,
and it
remained still with hopes for outside intelligent design.
